Welcome ....

I will try and keep upto date on all Notts County news , on and off the pitch aswell as adding pictures and videos from this season.

Hopefully this year won't be as depressing as the last - where the Magpies escaped the drop by 6 points.

Manager Charlie McParland has had to clear the deadwood (once again) and re-build a squad which should be challenging for the Playoffs.

My personal prediction is a respectable mid table finish.

Also look out for my articles in the Notts County Matchday Programme !

Hoult signs , Pre Season begins and Macca is a legend on Countdown !!!

Charlie got his 5th signing of the Summer - goalkeeper Russell Hoult after his release from Stoke City. Hoult was on loan at the end of last season and made an impressive 7 clean sheets to save the Magpies from relegation. He will now battle out for the number 1 jersey against Pilko. I believe Hoult would be the better option. He is a lot more vocal and very good plucking balls out of the sky. It is a shame for Pilks however , he was named player of the season last year and might struggle to find himself on the team-sheet.

Pre season began on Tuesday and one man who will gain a lot of stick is midfielder Neil MacKenzie. The former Mansfield player appeared on Channel Four programme Countdown on Monday and he showed that not all footballers are thick.

Macca claimed a last gasp win in the Countdown Conundrum with the word "Clambered". He then showed it wasnt a fluke by beating an elderly lady on Tuesday. He will be aiming to make it a hat-trick on Wednesday. Its all good for the image of the Oldest Football League Club in the World. Well Done Macca.
