I will try and keep upto date on all Notts County news , on and off the pitch aswell as adding pictures and videos from this season.

Hopefully this year won't be as depressing as the last - where the Magpies escaped the drop by 6 points.

Manager Charlie McParland has had to clear the deadwood (once again) and re-build a squad which should be challenging for the Playoffs.

My personal prediction is a respectable mid table finish.

A week away and nothing has happened !

A week in the sunshine put me in good spirits for the season ahead. Notts are sure of a good season ! Surely ! With two wins in Austria before flying and two potential striker on trials it looked hopeful that Charlie would add to his squad. Pearson however rejected Notts for Burton Albion , the cheek ! The reason - to stay part time and go to Uni. This I see as an awful excuse. There are many football players that are studying and playing. Was Pearsons heart really in it ? Or did he simply not want a contract that allegedly was up in December.

So Notts remain with two strikers (Forrester and Weir-Daley) and Fairclough on trial. If Notts are to avoid another relegation scrap then they simply need to add at least one players in this area.

Notts did win their third pre-season game against Hucknall 5-2 with a Weir-Daley hat-trick , Fairclough and Forrester scoring. Yes I realise that all the strikers scored BUT if one or two got injured/out of form/suspended then Notts will be very weak.

The first real test will be against Stoke on Tuesday. I will upload a report/photos/videos this week before the massive pre-season game against Forest.
