Welcome ....

I will try and keep upto date on all Notts County news , on and off the pitch aswell as adding pictures and videos from this season.

Hopefully this year won't be as depressing as the last - where the Magpies escaped the drop by 6 points.

Manager Charlie McParland has had to clear the deadwood (once again) and re-build a squad which should be challenging for the Playoffs.

My personal prediction is a respectable mid table finish.

Also look out for my articles in the Notts County Matchday Programme !

Fantastic Comeback from Notts

Gillingham 2 Notts 2

Being a student in Yorkshire I had to rely on ceefax, radio five reports and Sky Sports News. No Colin Slater tonight to lend me his expert view.

Well with twenty five minutes left Notts seemed to be loosing their grip on the 10 match unbeaten run. With Adam Tann and Gavin Strachan injured on Saturday the Magpies were left with four fit defenders. They were down to the bare bones.

The task got even harder when left-back Paul Mayo was taken off ill. Midfielder Jay Smith slotted into right-back , with Clapham switching sides.

Notts first goal was crucial with Butcher striking from the edge of the box to drive it the past the 'keeper. Minutes later Delroy Facey's name showed on the vidiprinter. The big man had got the equaliser with his second goal of the season. Manager McParland described it as a Premiership quality strike.

A brilliant result for the 'Pies and hopefully we can get some of the defenders fit for the weekend. Notts now face local rivals Chesterfield on Saturday and will be looking to keep this remarkable unbeaten run going.
