Welcome ....

I will try and keep upto date on all Notts County news , on and off the pitch aswell as adding pictures and videos from this season.

Hopefully this year won't be as depressing as the last - where the Magpies escaped the drop by 6 points.

Manager Charlie McParland has had to clear the deadwood (once again) and re-build a squad which should be challenging for the Playoffs.

My personal prediction is a respectable mid table finish.

Notts drop two points in ANOTHER draw.

Notts 1 Macclesfield Town 1

The Magpies drew another game they should have easily won. Once again they played the opposition off the park and fully deserved the three points.

Notts started brightly , as they always do but stepped off the gas and Town and two great chances but 'keeper Hoult was equal to their shots.

The Town striker was clear through on goal when on-loan defender John Thompson made a superb tackle. If he had timed it wrong he would have given a penalty away and he would have been shown red. The former F*rest player played well on his debut. Looking dangerous as set-pieces.

The best chance of the first half fell to Big Delroy Facey. Excellent work from Forrester setup his strike partner and he should have burried it. From about the penalty spot with only the 'keepe to beat he shot high and wide of the post. An awful miss. I uttered the words... "He'll never score." I was made to eat my own words 3 minutes into the second half.

Shooting towards the Kop the ball sprayed loose inside the penalty area for big Delroy to shoot a tight angled shot accross the goalie and into the far side. It was a fantastic powerful shot and Facey showed his delight with his jump and punch in the air.

Notts should have gone further ahead with efforts cleared off the line by the Town defence and then left-back Clapham struck the bar for the second game running. He was so unlucky. His brilliant shot deserved a goal, hopefully he will open his account on Tuesday.

Minutes later Notts threw away the 3-points. A powerful swervy shot was dropped by Hoult , he should have palmed it further away , and with the defence static strike Yeo stroked the ball into the net. It was a poor goal to concede.

Notts was given hope with the sending off of Macclesfield's Evans. His challenge on Tann looked dreadul and could see the County defender with a broken leg. Notts took control again with some excellent passing and crossing but sadly no luck to get the win.

Notts now face two tricky away games against Gillingham and Chesterfield. Today was three points dropped so Notts need to look to extend their unbeaten run.

PS : It was great to see Hot Dog's and Coca Cola being sold by individual soles (like American baseball matches). Fun idea by Notts , hopefully it will be a success and solve the queing situation in the Kop.

My Man of the Match : Matty Hamshaw (ran the full-back ragged)

Song of the Match :

His body looks like Frank Bruno, Facey, Facey
He plays for County don't ya know, Facey, Facey
We got the lad from Gillingham,
'N' Now he's come to Nottingham,
Delroy Facey, County's 22
