Welcome ....

I will try and keep upto date on all Notts County news , on and off the pitch aswell as adding pictures and videos from this season.

Hopefully this year won't be as depressing as the last - where the Magpies escaped the drop by 6 points.

Manager Charlie McParland has had to clear the deadwood (once again) and re-build a squad which should be challenging for the Playoffs.

My personal prediction is a respectable mid table finish.

Also look out for my articles in the Notts County Matchday Programme !

Forte's dream debut...

Now I've watched the goals I can go into a bit more detail about Saturday's fantastic win against Barnet.

Butcher opened the scoring after Mayo's long diagonal ball up to Delroy who headed to strike partner Forte who on turn flicked it on and it fell to the midfielder nicely who lashed it in on the volley from just outside the box. A fine finish with the left boot.

Forte scored his first for the club when Clapham's cross wasn't cleared properly and the Scunny man took a touch and slotted it low past the 'keeper. Another left foot finish.

His second started from a Notts free-kick in their own half. Defender Thompson punted it long which was originally cleared , but a slice clearance fell to Butch who lifted the ball over the centre defenders for Forte to chase. The striker was in the clear and calmly lifted the ball over the on rushing 'keeper with this left foot.

His hatrick was claimed before half time. Hamshaw's ball over the top allowed Forte to use his best attribute - his pace - once again he got past the defensive line and lobbed the 'keeper and tapped in from 2 yards out. A broad smile appeared on his face. He just couldn't believe his luck.

Notts fans will be hoping to see the man in white boots add to his three next weekend against the Daggers.
